전 가끔 시간이 나면 재미있는 도메인 네임을 찾아보곤 합니다. 도메인 네임이 국가 도메인 글자와 맞물리면 아주 재미있는 이름들이 탄생합니다. mar.gar.in 처럼 말이죠 :) ..
아마 닷컴 버블때 it라는 국가 도메인이 있다면 대박이었겠다라는 생각을 무심코 하고는 뒤져보니.. 이탈리아의 국가 도메인이 .it더군요!!
it.. 으로는 grab.it 이라거나 .. allblog.it 등등의 다양한 이름이 나올것 같아서 쪼르르 달려가봤습니다. (왠만한 이름은 이미 다 선점되어 있겠지만.. allblog.it 같은 건 없으리라 생각하고 간거였죠..^^;;; .. 올블로그 연관 서비스를 만들어보거나, 그냥 올블에 기증하거나 ..--;; )
의외로 allblog.it 은 이미 선점당해 있더군요. -_-;;..
그래서 또 다른 이름들을 찾아보려고 했는데.... 눈에 띄는 문구...
An Applicant for a .IT Domain name must meet the geographical requirements applicable to all .IT domain name holders as follows:
- Companies and organizations having their registered office, central administration or principal place of business within the European Community; or
- Individuals - natural persons – resident within the European Community.
If the applicant is a natural person, their passport number is required to validate the application. Companies and other applicantsmust supply their VAT number or company registration number. Applicants who meet this criteria will be required to complete and fax to us the Italian Letter of Assumed Responsibility (LAR) document. LAR documents will be e-mailed to applicants after the application has been submitted.
뭐.. 쉽게 말해서 유럽에 있는 회사나 개인이 아니고서는 .it 도메인을 등록할 수 없다라는 이야기더군요..--;
하긴 .it 도메인을 노리는게..저 하나 뿐이겠습니까... 저 이전에서 몇년간 수만명이 덤벼들었을 것 같네요.. 그래도... 유럽에 사는 사람에 한정하는건...왠지 아주 치사해 보이네요..-_-;;;... 저것도 자국 도메인 네임 자산 보호용인가...-_-;;

유로 도메인은 지금은 풀린거 같더군요...
대행사라.. 있는지 한번 찾아나 봐야겠네요..^^;
오늘 이 글 적고 필받아서..-_-;;;
몇개 희귀한 도메인을 신청해보려고 여기저기 찔러보는 중이죠..ㅋ..
